Funny man, Sam Kinison is the latest subject of “COMICS”, a biography series illustrating the life stories of stand-ups, sitcom stars and comedians who have made a huge impact on popular culture.
Sam Kinison was the most controversial comedian of his time, earning the ire of his critics and respect of his peers. “Comics: Sam Kinison”, Explores his rise from his humble roots as a preacher, to the excesses of his life as a Rock and Roll Comedian and his tragic death.
The 32-page comic book released this week, is written by Chris Canibano and drawn by Mark Perez. The collector’s edition comic book will feature two different covers.
“I wrote the “Comics: Sam Kinison” book to focus on a man who I think has been forgotten for the trailblazing comedian that he was. Sam’s life was very interesting to research, and as you follow it, you can see that his passion always provided the motivation for whichever line of work that he was in at the time, whether it was preaching in small towns, touring the comedy circuit, or acting in films. My hope is that this comic encourages a new generation of people to discover Sam’s comedy,” said Chris Canibano.
“The COMICS line of comic books tells the stories of the classic comedians that have made us laugh,” says Bluewater publisher, Darren G. Davis “It is a way for us to honor these people who have made a difference in the world”.
