I jumped right into this book without the slightest idea of what it was about. I can say that not only was it enjoyable, but I was genuinely surprised with how the two stories merged from their initial start.

I will not be giving anything away by stating that the two older characters Nanny and Hank become vampires by the end of the book, (hey it is in the solicit), but as with anything it is the execution of the idea that is unique and a much welcomed departure from the boring tedious glam-pires that populate most comics and other media these days. The vampire in this book is an ugly, vengeful, sadistic creep, and I mean that to be a compliment. The artwork was a little off putting at first,(hey I didn’t know until 5 pages in he was supposed to be a vampire), but once that reveal came across it made more sense for the vampire’s appearance to be very angular and Nosferatu like. As I stated early the stories merge seamlessly towards the end of the the big reveal. This is definitely a book to keep your eye out for when it is released in August and this is one of the few new series in recent memory where I am anxiously anticipating the next issue to see where the story goes. It earns 4 out of 5 stars and you should definitely:
