Dr. Who Room With a Deja View #1 Advance Review

Writer Rich Johnston, Art by Eric J.
There was a point where I thought of doing this review in the same styles as the book backwards in parts. That being said, This book gets four out of five stars and you should Put It On The Stack.
Ok all joking aside, this special feels like a Dr. Who episode. The Doctor
is investigating a murder in the middle of a void of space. He runs into a member of a race of beings called the Counters. They live their lives backwards in time, and this is where the fun of the issue comes in. He has to enlist other versions of himself to solve the crime. There are spots where reading the book backwards makes more sense than reading it forward. The key to the issue is paying attention to the blue and red borders that frame the panels. They follow the same rules as the show, and I will leave that at that so as not to ruin the surprises of the issue. Normally, at this point in the review I would delve into all sorts of spoileriffic territory, but I feel that this issue should be enjoyed for what it is and there is no way to go into more detail about the actual content that would not give away most of the story. So with that as such this is a very well put together issue. As a life-long Who fan , this issue read as real as an episode of the show. The artwork by Eric J is very good , and shows great detail in the alien life and the Doctor is a very good representation of David Tenant. As stated above, this issue is a great experience and you should definitely check it out.
