Action Comics #875

  The first issue in the new direction for the title is a pretty solid one. The artwork looks very dynamic, and we find out the NIghtwing and Flamebird are on Earth to stop 6 Kryptonians that escaped the Phantom Zone. We also find out the secret ID of each Nightwing (Chris Kent) and Flamebird (Thara Ak-Var). 3 out of 5 Justice Leaguers.

Batman Battle for the Cowl #1

   Solid first issue that introduces not one but two new Batmen; (Jason Todd as the Bat-Vigilante and Tim Drake as the classic Blue and Grey with Yellow Cirlcle Batman). Gotham city is in chaos as Arkham was destroyed and the Black Mask returns with a new society of villains under his control. The artwork was solid and it was nice to see all of the members of the Bat-Family (Huntress, Nightwing, Damian, Oracle, and more) working together to try to keep Gotham from total chaos. It still seems as if Dick Grayson will be Batman by the end of this, but a nice start to the mini series. 4 out of 5 Batmen.
