Calliope’s Quick Fire Reviews DC Edition
January 28, 2009 in Blackest Night, Comic Books, DC, Final Crisis, JLA, Reviews, Robin, Supergirl, Superman, Teen Titans
Faces of Evil : Deathstroke #1
Great Issue. A brief origin recap before we see a Ravager/ Deathstroke battle. Slade starts anew and has a new apprentice by the end of the issue. 4 out of 5 Titans. Put It on the Stack.
Final Crisis Superman Beyond #2
Nice ending to the mini series that sets up Blackest Night. Superman’s gravestone is a nice touch at the end. 3 out of 5 Dark JLA-ers.
Put It on the Stack.
Justice League of America #29
Just a horrible issue. Cheesy writing, muddled artwork and a complete departure from the past 2 issues that were setting up a storyline. 1 out of 5 JLA-ers.
Leave it on the Rack
Robin #182
Tim Drake as Red Robin defeats Anarky and also decides to release Jason Todd from prison. Good issue, only one more left until the book is replaced by a Red Robin book. 3 out of 5 Batmen. Put It on the Stack.
Supergirl #37
Superwoman is revealed to have killed Agent Liberty and she turns on Supergirl on the last page. So-so issue. 2 out of 5 Silver Age JLA-ers.
