Calliope’s Quick Fire Reviews DC Late Edition
January 14, 2009 in Comic Books, DC, JSA, Reviews, Spoiler, Teen Titans
Just a few quick reviews of last week’s books before moving on to this week’s big books.
Faces of Evil Solomon Grundy #1
We find out the origin of Solomon Grundy and see him reincarnated as a human. He is also told by the Phantom Stranger that he can break his curse and the Green Lantern Alan Scott will help. This book is also a prelude to Blackest Night. Good art, interesting story. 3 out of 5 JSA-ers.Put It on the Stack
Terror Titans #4
A really quick reintroduction of Static and a new surprising convert to the Clock King’s Titans. A little confusing as to when this takes place since the Dark Side Club is still around so obviously it is pre-FC. 2 out of 5 Batmen.
If you need to cut Back
Sgt. Rock The Lost Battalion #3
Another incredible issue by Billy Tucci. His artwork really shines when it is not inked or colored and we get some wonderful panels including the Haunted Tank in this manner. 5 out of 5 Metal Men. Put It on the Stack
