We start off with Eddie Brock on a bench talking with a guy who says to him nice day isn’t it. Brock then tells him that he has thoughts in his head that are not his own and that he is always hungry. We then flashback to one day earlier inside Peter Parker’s attic where we see the supposedly dead Gwen Stacy with the face of Carnage.

We find out that she escaped the facility where she was being held. Cut to the front door of the house where Aunt May answers the door to find Eddie Brock there trying to get in to see Peter. Aunt May asks him some questions and then pulls a gun on him. He disarms her easily and then Spider-Man swoops in to pound on him. He brings Gwenage with him and shows Eddie that he is not the only one who has problems. This activates Venom and it fights Carnage for a few pages until it absorbs all of Carnage to become Venage or maybe it will be called Carnom.  Iron Man then arrives to take on the new threat, but he disappears into the sewer. We then see that Gwen no longer has any of the symbiote in her after testing back at the facility she escaped from. It turns out Gwen Stacy did die, but this is an exact molecular duplicate (not a clone) with all of her memories that the symbiote created when it absorbed her. She is reluctantly given the OK to leave the facility and go back to a normal life. We then cut back to present day with Eddie and the stranger on the bench. He asks Eddie what exactly he is, if he could fight Spider-Man. He then turns into Venage and tries to attack the man, only to be captured in some type of wrist containment device that the man is wearing. He then reveals himself to be working for Doctor Doom and flies the symbiote away to Latveria. Overall a decently paced issue, with some relatively nice artwork. The coloring was a little off in some places it seemed, but it earns 3 out of 5 Spider-Villains.
